Dana Point Grand Prix of cycling-Sun May 1st

If you like cycling, you don't want to miss the Dana Point Grand Prix this Sunday May 1st. Fun for the whole family. There are divisions of racing all the way from the 4 yr. old and under division, all the way up to the pro division. This will be a full day of fun with races starting at 7 AM and going on until late afternoon. The pro division race starts at 4:10 PM. Pat Gudauskas video of round 1at Rip Curl Bells Pro

Skullcandy Surf Team shred Pat Gudauskas took advantage of the challenging, 4-to-6-foot swell that showed up for Round 1 of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, and came up with a heat win, taking down Jadsen Andre and Brett Simpson and the 5th highest-scoring wave of the day. Check the video:

San Clemente-Linda Lane Park reopening

Linda Lane park in San Clemente had a reopening today with a ribbon cutting ceremony with mayor Lori Donchak doing the honors. The playground area of the park has been closed since since last year when the old equipment was removed to make room for a new set. The new playground was opened to the public today with a great turnout of kids ready to have fun on the new equipment. The city did a great job with this project. Here are a few photos of the ceremony and kids playing in the new playground.

Hapa J's - San Clemente

If you haven't tried Hapa J's yet, you really owe it to yourself to check it out. If you are looking for something a little different, this is your place. They have come up with a fantastic fusion of tastes that is hard to describe. You just have to try it for yourself. You will be pleasantly suprised at what you find. My favorite day is Tuesday with the "secret taco tuesday menu". Let me know what you think after you try it.
